Classical versus Western- which to pick?
First off, I should say that no breed is better at one specialty than the other. Each comp requires three different skill sets to be high-or, to word it better, they use three skill sets and you have a better chance of wining if your horse is high skilled in these three sets. Every Classical riding competition has an equivalent in Western riding, and vice versa.
The Equivalents:
The skills used are not identical but breeds which have high skills in the one area for one specialty tend to have high skills in the other areas
(Listed in order- the classical competition on the left is the same as the western competition on the right).
