How To Breed Successfully- Get high stared high GP horses!
Breeding on Howrse is complicated and easy at the same time- it's complicated but it'll get easier the more you do it. I've seen a few players with several horses on their production page that... Well, I hate to put it this way but they're useless. I've organized this page so that you can better understand how to successfully breed your horses to high starred, skilled, and GP horses.
The secret to breeding on Howrse is to look at both parents carefully in four subjects.
*Note you have to keep this up till you get several good foals and fillies to breed to each other, then rinse and repeat and breed THEM to each other, and so on. That's how the breeding groups do it. And you should never breed two negative BLUP horses together, two horses who aren't fully trained, or two horses with less than 400 GP or less than 300 skills. Your foal will be pretty worthless if you do. (1 of them having lower than 400 GP or less than 300 skills won't hurt but for all the others neither parent should have them.
(As I know that Howrse has a tendency to change how this stuff works, I'll keep this updated.)
