An Interview With Mouse75 By red_chick94:
Hi Mouse75. I have so many questions to ask such an interesting player. Where did your name come from?
❊Yikes! I feared this answer would come up Okay, so I have this grandma. We always call her Grandma Mousie because she is so tiny and when she talks it sounds like little squeaks. We always have to lean in really close to hear her speak. I never get to see her any more because she lives really far away in California, and it made me sad because she was so amazing. I decided that I would name this account in her honor....but I'm just kidding. I actually have no recollection of why I named this account Mouse75 I kinda wish I had a Grandma Mousie though...
Your avatar is so pretty, who made it for you?
❊Unfortunately, it was not made specifically for me. I believe some incredibly talented player created it and allowed others to use it. I'm one of those other players as you can see! I've seen a few other players out there with it too...and I secretly feel as if we should chat about having the same avatar because we obviously have good taste
It’s related to the Olympics, right? Did you celebrate the Olympics – if so, how?
❊ Oh yes!! I loved watching the Olympics! We don't celebrate, but the TV's in the house are always on split-screen so we can watch a few different things happening at the same time I especially love gymnastics (who doesn't?) because one of my friends is a Level 9 gymnast and she totally has what it takes to make it to the big leagues!! My mom said that if she goes, we will buy tickets to go watch her where ever she gets to perform! Wouldn't that be nice?
Do you think the Olympics brought the UK together and are you proud of being British?
❊ Hehe, Red, you may have some confusion here on this one. *checks to see if you're right* Unfortunately, I'm not cool enough to be British I wish I was, because their accent is to die for. I am a citizen of the United States and occupy one of the great 50 *cough*--Indiana--*cough* However, I do think it unified the UK, if only for a bit. They really had to put everything they had to make a show worthy of the world, and they did it. Doing so had to have unified them at least a bit, and if only for a short time. I thought it was marvellous!
You have been on the game for over 1000 days, have you enjoyed your time on here?
❊ Oh yes! I truly enjoy Howrse. People get upset about the promotional events, but I really don't see the problem with them. You win some Black Market items here and there, get some much-needed Aging Points, no harm no foul! I do see how having passes would help in a lot of the events to reach the big prize, but that's how Howrse thrives--off of people paying real-life money to play the game and be the best they can be! I love the new layouts, and I enjoy how Howrse changes the backgrounds during the seasonal changes
Can you name a high of your time here?
❊I think about a month ago before I spent about 40 of my passes on the Obstacle Promotional event, that was my high point. I had about 56 passes (which is high for me since I can't buy passes) So when I had all those passes, that was a good time. I had some rockin' divines, and then being a member of the Number One Canadian Horse Group totally put the cherry on top. Those guys are awesome.
Can you also name me a low of your time on Howrse?
❊I'm sure I can dig one up so when I was around 500 days seniority, my game took a plateau. I had no real motivation to do anything on this game...at all. I had maybe 4 passes, some really bad horses, and it was just a really boring game. I think I had completed my objectives and was contemplating quitting. Then I realized there were other things a person could do to be successful on the game without spending money, and I worked really hard. That gave me new energy to rejuvenate my game
You’ve managed to save up quite a bit of equus, how did you manage that?
❊ You know what? I don't even know! I think the biggest thing was smart saving and selling Black Market items! I have a plethora of items in my stock that people apparently want to buy (who knew?) and so I decided to sell them! That made me a ton of equus. I also participate in "The Art of Flipping" where you buy horses from the sales at a cheap price, and you sell them for more. It is surprisingly successful, and I find myself stalking the sales a lot
You’ve got a lot of partners on here, can you tell us about a select few? Why are they your partner?
❊ They are so amazing. Hands down some of the greatest people on the game. I can only talk about a few? Well poo, they all have amazing qualities. So I'll pick the three that I've bonded most with (but if any of my Canadian Members are reading this and you weren't mentioned, please don't take offence, Red made me choose only a few )
So first off is dragon_dancer. She is a truly successful player and one of the kindest at that. She's kind of like the team leader, and she is always there to lend a helping hand. I'm so happy that she's the one who invited me to the team
Next is kaela i101-104. Ack!! So many nice things to say! All-around an amazing player. Such a diligent breeder and an incredible team member. She's got great leadership skills and really knows how to handle her time so she gets all her Blup's in for her groups. She's a sweetie too
Thirdly (but most certainly not finally) is SledDog. Sleddy is an incredible trainer. She is a fast blupper, and a really, really nice player. Sled is a rockin' gal who I'm thrilled to have been a partner with
Due to having the ‘partner’ feature, that also means you have the Pegasus account bonus feature. What’s your favourite part of the bonus account?
❊ I think it's a toss-up between three features I can't choose just one. It's either the organization of horses (that comes in handy because apparently 200 horses is too much for me to handle ), the 6 black market trades, or the cloud pack. The items are just so handy, and the cloud pack is great for when I skill because I never have enough clouds in stock
You have a lot of divines! Which one is your favourite and why? (Post a picture if possible!)
❊ I think I really enjoy my Ruby. My first Ruby was one of my first divine horses, and it's just a cool horse. For those of you who don't know, it's a Gem Divine and provides it's owner 5 diamonds on its birthday! I love diamonds, and I kind of hoard them, so getting five in one day is so exciting...especially since I have three Rubies My first Ruby is special though because it's a real comp winner. I think it's won at least 1000 comps (1st second and third total) and made me a really nice equus reward. If any of you guys ever get the chance to win one, you should try for it, cause I love my pixel to death
You breed Canadian Horse’s right? Can you tell us why you chose that breed?
❊ Yes! I think they're so cute so I've never had an interest with Canadians until I was approached by the Storm team to join them. I quickly learned the blupping method for them and started doing my weekly blups. Once we started getting farther and farther into the GP race, we realized that our Canadian is an amazing horse for the Western Pleasure Prix.
Do you breed them competitively or for fun?
❊ It is competitive. We passed up a group when we first started breeding to take the title of Number One Canadians, but now we want to make the leader boards. I think that people underestimate the awesomeness of Canadian Horses, but they shouldn't because when it comes down to Western Prix, you'll want a Candie in your race
How are you finding the lottery promotion?
❊ Ohh...not so well I'm really terrible at lotteries and I only buy 4 tickets each time. I return all the tickets that are sent to me, but I don't actively try in this promo. I've never had much luck with it ever, so I just play to get some of those Golden Pyramids--my affectionate name for Aging Points
What’s the funniest message you’ve received on Howrse?
❊ Oh goodness, so there was this one player, and they asked me if I was quitting. I said no, and they asked why I wasn't quitting. They then proceeded to trash my entire game saying that what I had earned was worthless, blah blah, and I was cracking up! I had quite a bit of divines at the time, a decent EC, equus, it was a pretty good place to be in the game. They continued to berate my game and then asked if they could have my game...I told them no (politely but with an edge) and asked them to please leave me alone. They then went and said that they had this business for people who were quitting, and that they "take care" of people's accounts when they leave so that if they are to come back, their game will be in good condition. After that, I blocked them, and proceeded to laugh at this person's scam. It was...unique to say the least!
Outside of Howrse, what do you enjoy doing?
❊There is a life outside of Howrse?? *gasp* Why did no one tell me??!! Hehe, all jokes aside: bowling. I bowl competitively as a sport and do it to obtain scholarship money--my High School teammates are incredibly awesome too. When I'm not bowling, I'm doing homework because school is my life *sniffle* I'm such a nerd
Finally, do you ride or have connections with horses in real life?
❊ I used to ride a lot actually. I don't own any of my own horses, but I started out with 4H. I rode western for 2 years then switched to private lessons in an English saddle. I then competed a few times, but had to quit because of a busy schedule. I still go out to ride as much as possible!
