The Forum Games
Everyone (well seemingly) loves forum games, but there's actually a lot more of them than you think.... so below I'm going to post all the games I know of and how to play them, so you can use them to help liven up your forum! :)
I will give a playing example and will add any warnings of how the game can be abused by some players, so that you can watch for "fowl play" or cheating and prevent it (because who wants that!?) Enjoy! =]

Rate The Avatar Above YouIn this ever popular forum game, each player posts what they think of the avatar of the poster above them on a scale of one to ten. This game can get hectic if the forum's mod (you who owns the forum I mean) doesn't watch and make sure to delete the people who use the rating system to bully other players. (Unfortunately this does happen. I have been a victim on a couple of occasions in fact but don't worry, I survived just fine lol).
Playing Example: Player one: umm, 5/10, it's alright. Player two: 10/10 I really like it! so pretty! Player three: 2/10, soz not my style Player four: 1/10 u dont got a user on it Player five: 9/10 I really like the fonts! Player six: 8/10 is it u in the avi? The Person Below Me GameThe Person Below Me Game is often written TPBM game or TPBMGA (the person below me gets a...). It's where you say what the player below you will get if they want to claim it, or if they don;t want it they can pass it. You can also require them to PM you to claim whatever it is. Popular "slang" in this game include fv (forum visit) or ffv (full forum visit- they look at every topic) fpr or pr (full page read or page read, fpr is better) fr (friend request) or friends (same). and of course congrats (congratulations). You have to watch for scamming in this game if you want keep cheating at bay.
Playing Example: Player one: the person below me gets a 500e horse, Player two: Claim! The person below me gets an fv, friends, and congrats. Player three: pass. TPBM gets a free BMI! PM to claim Player four: claim! tpbmga a uni! PM me to claim Player five: claim! The person below me gets a fpr and congrats! Player six: pass tpmb gets a horse pm to claim |
Guess The Avatar Below YouNot as popular as its' the "rate the avatar" cousin, Guess The Avatar Below You is where each player tries to guess something about the avatar of the player who posts below them. It can be cheated on by a player consulting with their Howrse friends to post in the game directly after them and then giving a very specific guess and when the friend posts they act surprised and it makes the first one seem psychic. This is a very preventable form of cheating because its so obvious.
Playing Example: Player one: I predict the avatar below me will have a horse on it. Player two: Nope! I predict the avatar below me will have green on it. Player three: Yes! I predict the avatar below me will have stripes! Player four: yea lol howd you no? I predict the next avi will be yellow Player five: nope sorry! I think the next avatar will have cats in it! Player six: Yes it does! The next avatar will have a username on it! Yum Or Yuck GameIn the simple Yum or Yuck game, one player lists a food item and the next says whether they think it's a yum or a yuck and then lists a food of their own. As far as I know there is no way to cheat in this game.
Playing Example: Player one: garlic bread Player two: yum! tomato soup Player three: yuck! cheese sandwich Player four: yuck... cookies? Player five: yummy! ice cream! Player six: yummmmm! toast? |
